Monthly Meeting Mission Statement
The health of the church body is directly influenced by the maturity and commitment of its members. At Brookside Bapist Church, the second Saturday morning of each month between September and May is specifically dedicated to edify the men.
At each meeting, a buffet style breakfast will be served. While all the meals are skillfully planned and prepared, some are given special themes in order to consider our missionaries whom we are prayerfully supporting.
Fellowship is another reason the faithful men gather together. Time is casually spent during the breakfast time to fellowship with one another. It is a time of relaxed cultivation of old friendships, as well as foundation for new ones.
The main focus of each meeting is for the edification of the faithful men of the church through the teaching of Scripture by different guest speakers. Topical studies are prepared from a yearly theme, and are directed to exhort the men to action in their Christian walks, as well as encourage deeper study of God’s Word.
Weekly Meeting Mission Statement
As the men of the church go, so goes the church. The responsibility of the men within the church body is weighed greatly on the scales. So to be faithful to that calling, the Faithful Men hold a weekly Bible study. For each week between monthly breakfast meetings, the faithful men gather for further in-depth, expository study of Scripture. This opportunity for edification goes further than the monthly study allows. Each verse is carefully dissected, unwrapped, and discussed so that the Word of God can more truly resonate within the lives of His people.
